Drip Coffee Bags / Coffee Filter Paper – PLA Non-Woven Fabric Packaging Material
PLA (Polylactic Acid) fiber is derived from renewable plant-based resources. As a certified food-safe material, tea bags and filter papers made from PLA fiber are naturally biodegradable. When placed directly into hot water, they release no microplastics or harmful substances, making them safer for human health. Additionally, the use of PLA fiber in pulp and paper production enables ultrasonic thermal bonding, reducing costs and improving efficiency.

As shown in the image, short-cut PLA fiber is inherently hydrophobic and has poor dispersion in water, making it prone to flocculation. However, after extensive research and testing, the addition of customized ultra-short PLA fiber to the pulp mixture significantly improves dispersion with other cellulose fibers during the papermaking process. This reduces fiber clumping and agglomeration, enhances uniformity, and ensures stable paper performance.
Furthermore, PLA fiber can be used to produce tea bag strings, contributing to 100% biodegradable tea bag packaging solutions!
